The Summer Kids Ag Camp is hosted by the Jordan College’s Horticulture Nursery. Under the direction of Calliope Correia and her students, 20 local youth ages 6 – 10 years old, will have the opportunity to visit the diverse 1,000 acre Fresno State farm and experience a variety of farm activities.

Children will learn about food production and all of the amazing things that go into growing crops from a seed to harvest. Camp includes many hands-on activities and nature based crafts and they are guaranteed to have fun, learn a lot, and be dirty at the end of the day!

Seeking Donations

Donated products are being accepted for children’s goody bags. Children who participate in the week-long camp will go home with a backpack filled with farm products, crafts and items generously donated by our industry partners.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The camp is seeking sponsors who will be recognized on signage at the horticulture unit where the children are welcomed to camp each day. Sponsor logos will also be added to the backpacks and other materials provided to the camp participants. (Sponsor gifts starting at $500 on up can be made payable to the Fresno State Foundation).

More information is available by contacting Shannon Fast at the Ag One Foundation.
